Partnership to Prevent Fetal Alcohol Syndrome  The Partnership to Prevent Fetal Alcohol Syndrome was established by
the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration's Center for Substance Abuse Prevention in July 2001. The goal of the Partnership is to unite communities nationwide in a public health response to prevent Fetal Alcohol Syndrome and alcohol-related birth defects. The Partnership aims to empower mothers to deliver healthy babies by encouraging women who are planning a pregnancy or already pregnant to avoid alcohol. It also strives to foster social support among their significant others.

US-Mexico Border CAPT  The Border CAPT is part of the National Center for the Application of Prevention Technologies (NCAPT) Network headed by the Center for Substance Abuse Prevention (CSAP). The mission of the NCAPT is to bring research to practice. The body of knowledge and experience that has been aquired by CSAP provides clear and compelling evidence that prevention of substance abuse works. The NCAPT is designed to work with states and organizations to apply science-based prevention technologies that work. Each CAPT is charged with providing technical assistance and training throughout its region.

Visualizing Addiction  Visualizing Addiction takes students inside the human brain to examine the effects of addictive drugs. The newest addition to CIPE’s catalog of discovery-based teaching tools, Visualizing Addiction includes interactive lessons, online forums for students and teachers, tutorials, features about leading addiction researchers, and links to online resources on drug addiction.

Western Center for the Application of Prevention Technologies  CSAP's Western Center for the Application of Prevention Technologies (CAPT) is one of six regional centers funded by the Center for Substance Abuse Prevention and includes Alaska, Washington, Oregon, Idaho, California, Arizona, Nevada, Montana, Wyoming, Utah, Hawaii, Guam, American Samoa, Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands, Federated States of Micronesia, Marshall Islands, and Palau. The purpose of CSAP's Western CAPT is to assist states, jurisdictions, and community-based prevention programs in the Western Region to apply scientifically-defensible strategies in their efforts to prevent substance abuse.
